Information for the Greater San Antonio Match Play Championshipdfgd Greater San Antonio Men's, Senior Men's, Women's Match Play Championship
Qualifying Round: August 1, 2009 Championship: August 7-9, 2009 Olmos Basin Golf Course fdfg Eligibility: Any male or female, depending on which division, with amateur status, 18 years or older as of August 1, 2009, residing in Bexar, Comal, Kendall, Wilson, Atascosa, Medina, Guadalupe, or Bandera counties for a minimum of three months prior to the Championship qualifier date. (Military residents are exempt from the three month residency requirement) Entry Fee: Qualifier: $35 Championship: $125 (includes green fees) Entry Deadline: - 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2009 - Field limited to the first 156 paid entries received. (Or the number required to complete a group of three) - Any late entries will be admitted on a space available basis only. - Players who withdraw after the deadline will recieve no refund. - Players who withdraw before the deadline are subject to a $15.00 service fee. Rules of Golf: - Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA. - All players must conform with the USGA Rules of Amateur Status as specified in the USGA Rules of Golf. - Rules Committee decisions will be final. - Appropriate attire (collared shirt) is required. - Caddies and pull carts are permitted. - In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only, devices and distance information from devices can be shared with other players. Schedule: Men's & Senior Men's Competition will be in two stages: 1. Stroke Play - 18 holes stroke play held August 1st to determine 64 qualifiers for match play in the Men's Division, and the top 32 qualifiers for the Senior Men's Division. A tie for last qualifier's place shall be decided immediately by a playoff. 2. Match Play - General numerical draw will be used. All matches at 18 holes. There will be consolation rounds after the first round. sdgsdf Men's Senior Men's Friday, August, 7: A.M. - First Round A.M. - First Round P.M. - Second Round Saturday, August, 8: A.M. - Third Round A.M. - Second Round P.M. - Quarterfinal Round P.M. - Quarterfinal Round Sunday, August, 9: A.M. - Semifinal Round A.M. - Semifinal Round P.M. - Final Round P.M. - Final Round *Quarterfinalists in each division receive invitation to play in "2009 Tournament of Champions" *Champions recieve invitation to play in 2009 Menefee / Blaylock Cup Schedule: Women's Competition will be in two stages: 1. Stroke Play - 18 holes stroke play held August 1st to determine top 16 qualifiers for match play. A tie for last qualifier's place shall be decided immediately by a playoff. 2. Match Play - General numerical draw will be used. All matches at 18 holes. Riders will be paired to allow cart sharing when possible. However, if pairings require a player to ride alone, they will only be charged for half a cart.
