June 19 - 22, 2008

Eligibility:

Any male with amateur status, 18 years or older as of June 19, 2008, residing in Bexar, Comal, Kendall, Wilson, Atascosa, Medina, Guadalupe, or Bandera counties for a minimum of three months prior to the Championship date.  Military residents are exempt from three month requirement.   

Entry Fee:

$200   (Includes green fees and warm up balls)

Entry Deadline:

- 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2008

- Field limited to the first 220 paid entries received.

  (Or the number required to complete a group of three)

- Any late entries will be admitted on a space available basis only.

- Players who withdraw after the deadline will recieve no refund.

Format & Flights:

- 72 Hole Stroke Play – Gross.

- Rounds One & Two will be the Flight Determination rounds alternating between  

  The Republic Golf Club and Cedar Creek Golf Course.  (Scores carry over)

- Rounds Three & Four: Championship Flight will be played at The Republic,

  Flights will be played at Cedar Creek.

- Number of flights will be determined by number of entries.

- Top 20 finishers in Championship Flight receive an invitation to play in "2008

  Tournament of Champions"

- Top 3 finishers in Championship Flight receive an invitation to play in the 2008 

  Menefee / Blaylock Cup.

Rules of Golf:

- Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA.

- All players must conform with the USGA Rules of Amateur Status as specified  

  in the USGA Rules of Golf.

- Rules Committee decisions will be final.

- Appropriate attire (collared shirt) is required.

- Caddies and pull carts are permitted.

- In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device

  that measures distance only, devices and distance information from devices can

  be shared with other players

Carts:

Carts are limited to two (2) carts per group.  Riders will be paired to allow cart sharing when possible.  However, if pairings require a player to ride alone, they will only be charged for half a cart. 

Awards Ceremony :

June 22, 2008 - immediately following play, The Republic Golf Club and Cedar Creek Golf Course
